Lansing, MI, January 22, 2003 (The Digest) -
The Auxer Group, Inc. (OTCBB: AXGI) announced new business
developments within its aviation and telecommunications
segments.
Auxer has commenced acquisition negotiations with Kick
Communications of New York. Kick Communications is an
international provider of long distance telephone services.
The Reliance Group, India's largest sector enterprise
and one of the 500 largest enterprises in the world
is one of Kick partner's.
Mr. Scott, Auxer's Chairman stated, "We had been
looking at Auxer's dormant telecommunication segment
when Kick Communications was introduced to us as a potential
purchaser of some of our telecommunications assets.
During our initial conversations, we discussed our aviation
plan and subsequently the Kick principals have made
proposals for Viva to offer flight services to India.
The discussions of a potential acquisition of Kick just
naturally ensued. Kick currently has gross operating
revenues in excess of $20 million and has staged joint
venture arrangements and partnerships that may bring
in another $80 million of revenue during 2003. The telecommunications
industry has certainly been beaten down but we believe
many outstanding opportunities are available to participate
in the industry."
